The modification involved eliminating rice from the grain bill and elevating the alcohol content. This beer is brewed using Pilsner and Carapils malts, which contribute to its robust and bready foundation. The Saaz hops, on the other hand, offer an earthy, piney spiciness to both the flavor and aroma of the beer, creating a delightful balance.

Urban South Paradise Park

American lagers tend to offer a much lighter body than other styles, very little (or no) bitterness, and lower ABV. There's not too much of any taste, with a balance of grain and corn flavors, and a low to medium-low hop bitterness. Craft beer drinkers will probably find the hop flavors in this one to be subdued, but certainly worth a try.

Pabst Blue Ribbon (PBR)

Taste is mild to watery with some hints of Millennial hipster and cheap grains. It's not completely repulsive because it's light enough to chug, but tastes like a decidedly low quality macro. Lots of streaming bubbles and nice off white head, with a slightly sweet but faint corn taste. Your great grandfather probably bought this stuff by the case and drank it in his Lazy-Boy.

Miller Lite

Not completely terrible but not amazing by any means. Minimal head and very little lacing. There is little to no smell but taste is at least bearable. Good cheap beer for watching football or after mowing your lawn. Called the best of the mass market light beers pretty much everywhere in the Midwest but trashed by coastal elitists.

Eventually replaced by Amarillo hops.

CIgar City Jai Alai IPA

This IPA style originated from England and was sent to British troops in India during the 18th century. It is characterized by a subtle caramel sweetness, slight apple/pear-like esters, and flavors of cattiness and fruitiness, reminiscent of grapes. The hop aroma is more dank, resiny, and pine-like, rather than citrusy.

Coors

A perfect beer for beer drinkers that don't like the taste of beer. There is no hint of hop bitterness, which certainly isn’t ideal for the style. Very little evidence of other grains either. Your grandfather will confirm, this beer tasted better in the 70s.

Budweiser

The industry standard for mass production American lagers, don't be fooled into thinking this is anything like the original Czech Republic beer Anheuser-Busch has tried to lawyer into nothingness for 112 years.  Highly carbonated, thin, watery, beer flavored soda water built for mass consumption.

Bud Light

Moderately sweet with a light flavor profile of cheaper American-variety hops, malts, and rice. Easy to drink without the hassle of having much taste. A good pour but should be classified as a seltzer. Lets be honest, if you like Bud Light, you aren't here for the details.

Stella Artois

Shiner Bock

Brewed with rich roasted barley malt and German specialty hops, this lightly hopped American-style dark lager always goes down easy. If you're looking for a widely available alternative to big beer companies in the US (You know the one), and want to steer clear of the bitterness often found in craft bock brews, this is an excellent option. A required selection for UT and Texas A&M graduates as well as Gen Xers that love to tell you how great Austin used to be.

Corona Extra
